Vidal-Fleury, the Rhône Valley's oldest wine house have undergone something of a reasurgence since 2008 with the completion of a new state of the art winery and arrival of winemaker Guy Sarton du Jonchay. We love their wines and its been a pleasure to see the progress Guy and his colleagues have made.
Last week Vidal-Fleury was awareded two awards; an International Wine Challenge Trophy for Condrieu 2013 and Best in Show Northern Hemisphere Syrah at the London Wine Fair by the International Wine and Spirit Competition.
Vidal-Fleury produces wines in the Northern and Southern Rhône Valley drawing on grapes from their own domaine and from selected growers, with whom they have long term releationships. Energetic winemaker Guy has worked hard to refine and improve the company's selection of wines re-emphasising the importance of work in both the vineyards and the cellar.
