The Beaujolais appellation provides about half of all the wine produced in the entire Beaujolais region. Henry Fessy Beaujolais comes mainly from domaine vines planted on the Bel Air plateau which borders the Brouilly appellation next to the winery. A total of 15 hectares of Beaujolais vineyard are planted on the Henry Fessy Domaine. The 2009 vintage has been widely heralded as the best for many decades with its perfectly ripe grapes producing rich than average wines.
Tasting note
Ripe rich red berry and earth aromas are followed by a full palate of crunchy red fruits and light rounded tannins. A real pleasure on the palate.
