Six villages have the privilege of sharing this subtle and enchanting cru. It is the most southerly of all the Beaujolais Crus and typically has good colour, backbone and is full-bodied revealing aromas of plums and peaches. Henry Fessy's domaine contains 7.5 hectares of Brouilly vineyards. The 2009 vintage was awarded the Beaujolais Trophy at the International Wine Challenge 2010.

Tasting note

The nose is dominated by red fruits, most notably wild strawberries. In the mouth the fruit is crisp and the touch of acidity gives this Brouilly great freshness. Spicy notes on the finish.

Awards and Accolades

The Wine Gang, December 2011, 87/100

'Henry Fessy is one of the few Beaujolais producers to cover every one of the region's 10 crus. Brouilly, where Fessy is based, is one of of the most successful of the 2010 crus, being bright, aromatic and herbal. Satisfyingly full of raspberries and luscious strawberry fruit with a firmness to the tannins giving it backbone'
