Aloxe-Corton is the native village of the Latour family. The name "Les Chaillots" refers to the stony, pebbly nature of the soil in the vineyard, as "caillou" means pebble in French. The Les Chaillots vineyard is part of Domaine Louis Latour.
Tasting note
Ruby red with a perfume of cherry and liquorice, typical of Pinot. On tasting it is round but still a little tight. With time this will evolve beautifully.

Jancis Robinson, www.jancisrobinson.com, Jan 2011
'They own 5ha of this vineyard! Mid ruby – already looks quite developed. Ferns and green undergrowth on the nose. Very positive with real intent. Reminds me a little of a 2006. Not as luscious and round as some 2006s but good vitality.' 16.5 points, 27th January 2011
Allen Meadows, www.burghound.com, May 2011
'A ripe and mildly spicy red berry fruit nose gives way to round, supple and reasonably rich medium-bodied flavors that possess good mid-palate volume as well as a delicious, balanced and persistent finish. There is a much better sense of energy here if only average depth.' 88 Points
