Nuits Saint Georges is the most southerly village in the Côte de Nuits. The village was originally called Nuits but added Saint Georges, the name of one of its finest vineyards, in the 19th century. There are no Grand Crus in this village. The wines tend to be firm and usually benefit from a few years ageing.
Tasting note
This wine has delicious earthy aromas of cherry and liquorice. The tannins are mellow and the oak is well-integrated. This wine is balanced and elegant.
