Ventoux is principally Syrah (60%), complemented by Grenache (30%) and Mourvedre (10%)
Tasting note
The wine begins with attractive blueberry, cranberry, violet and cumin aromas. The palate is medium bodied with rich and rounded dark berries and blueberry flavours and a slightly toasty finish.
Awards and Accolades
87 Points, The Wine Advocate #191, October 2010
'The 2009 Cotes du Ventoux is another serious bargain. Sixty percent Syrah, 20% Grenache, and 10% Mourvedre, the wine offers loads of herbs, red and black fruits, spice box, and pepper. It is soft, round, and ideal for drinking over the next several years.'
