Groote Post
We are proud to have worked with Groote Post since they started exporting wine in 1999. We met Nick Pentz and his winemaker at the time, Adi Badenhorst, at Vinexpo. We were so surprised at the quality of their wines and the potential of the then little known Darling Hills region that we knew we had to work with them.
The Pentz family have a long history in The Cape, firstly as hugely successful dairy farmers and in recent years as a respected wine producer. Peter Pentz, Nick's father, still keeps a watchful eye over the business and is often to be found in the tasting room, while Nick oversees everything on a day to day basis and travels to their export markets. They are quite a team and along with winemaker Lukas Wentzel, they typify the quality and personality of the producers that we have set out to work with.
