Groote Post
Although the farm is only around thirty miles north of Cape Town you really feel that you are "in Africa" when you are there. This feeling is backed up when you catch glimpses of the various species of buck and other game that Peter has introduced to the farm over the last few years
The Darling region is cooler than the inland wine producing regions (you can see the Atlantic a few miles away when you are at the top of the farm in Pinot Noir vineyards) which gives the wines, especially the Sauvignon Blanc, wonderful finesse and delicacy. Groote Post's vineyards are located at high altitude, between 200m and 450m above sea level.
