Wild Rock
Wild Rock's wine regions

This is enables them to produce a range of wines, selecting areas which are most suited to particular grape varieties, resulting in wines with a sense of place and individuality.
Hawkes Bay
For their Gravel Pit Red Merlot Malbec blend Wild Rock travelled to the Gimblett Gravels area of Hawkes Bay. The areas poor stony soils and coastal create ideal conditions for the cultivation of these varieties. The Gimblett Gravels is increasingly regarded as the best area in New Zealand for Bordeaux varieties such as Merlot and Malbec and Syrah.
Marlborough
Marlborough is New Zealand's most well known growing region and during the 1980s and 1990s the place really put New Zealand on the wine growing map. The dry, stoney valley floors of this area produces classic kiwi Sauvignon's – fresh and zippy with bags of citrus and gooseberry flavours.
Central Otago
A remote wilderness, Central Otago is one of the world's remotest wine producing regions. The vineyards here are on steeper slopes and at higher altitude than others in New Zealand. The area has rightly become known worldwide for the production of high quality Pinot Noirs.
