Company history & philosophy
Louis Latour Agencies was founded in July 1990 and is the UK subsiduary of Burgundy wine house Louis Latour. In the early days we just represented the wines of Maison Louis Latour. Over the years the portfolio developed and agencies were added, firstly from France and then from New World countries. Today, we are proud to represent 14 producers of still and sparkling wines and Cognac from France, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand and Chile.
Our philosophy has been to deal with family producers who represent something special in the area in which they work. We are part of a family business that stretches back over two hundred years and we believe that the core values associated with this underpins the way we operate in the UK. In an increasingly homogenised world, we believe that personality and individuality, in both the wines and the producers that make them, are more valuable characteristics than volume and price.
In the UK, we are proud to work with some of the best independent retailers, wholesalers, restaurants and hotels in the country. Our wines are available from various sources to all sectors of the market.
