With 150 hectares of grapes, Chambolle-Musigny has two Grand Cru vineyards and 24 that have been granted Premier Cru status. The limestone-clay soils are shallow in places, but fissures in the rock allow the vines to dig deep into the earth to look for nourishment. Powerful yet refined, rich yet elegant, the Pinot Noir wines of Chambolle-Musigny are considered to be some of the best in the world.
