Tasting note |
Deep red colour. Cassis, pepper, cinnamon, smoky, tobacco, black olive, boxwood aromas are followed by a round and rich full bodied with defined ripe tannins. Blackcurrant, cherry, nutmeg, black pepper and violet flavours dominate the palate with hints of smoke and cured ham on the finish.

92 Points, The Wine Advocate #182, April 2009'The finest of these single vineyard offerings is the 2005 Cote Rotie La Chatillhonne. Revealing classic notes of bacon fat and spring flowers in that exotic perfume for which top Cote Roties are renowned, this deep ruby/purple-tinged 2005 offers broad, savory flavors of meat-infused black cherry and cassis fruit, medium to full body, and a long, rich, heady finish.' 93 Points, Feb. 2008Robert Parker 93 Points, September 2010Wine Spectator BronzeInternational Wine Challenge London, May 2010 |
